Program Introduction

Transportation, which is one of the most important elements of economic and social life, interacts with other factors in the country. Air transportation, which is one of the modes of transportation, has very important benefits for humanity in terms of economic, commercial, social, cultural and political aspects. For this reason, despite all the economic and political crises, the air transport sector continues to grow throughout the world. The demand for air transport and the resulting increase in the number of aircraft increase the need for qualified flight personnel to take part in cabin services more than ever.

With the "Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program", which was opened within the body of Eskişehir Technical University Transportation Vocational School, it is aimed to train customer satisfaction-oriented, responsible, and duty-conscious manpower that keeps flight safety and security at the highest level in air transportation. The aviation industry is subject to both national and international regulations to ensure flight safety and security. Program courses has been created taking into account the regulations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), of which Turkey is a member, and the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) and the Ministry of Transportation Civil Aviation General Directorate. In addition, since being a flight personnel requires certain physical qualifications, taking into account the possibility of losing the qualification of flight in the future, the program also includes courses that will enable the graduates of the program to have the qualifications that can easily be employed in passenger and operational services of enterprises that carry out ground handling activities. The foreign language requirement, which is indispensable for air transport, which is an international sector, is supported by optional foreign language courses such as Spanish, Russian and French, in addition to the optional English preparatory and English courses in the curriculum. It is envisaged with the protocol between our university and THY A.O. that the airline will offer both education and post-graduate employment opportunities to the Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program students.
