Program Introduction

Transportation, which is one of the most important elements of economic and social life, interacts with other factors both in the country and in the city. The developments in the social and economic fields that have emerged in the world in recent years has revealed the desire of people to live more comfortably, safely and to use time economically. The fact that railway transportation is safe and fast and its increasing importance in the country's economy and industrialization has also been understood in our country in recent years. The rapid development of railway transportation all over the world, new applications for electrification and signaling have also increased the importance of the safe realization of railway traffic, which has become more complex compared to previous years. The training of railway electrical-electronic (facilities) personnel, who undertake important duties in railway transportation, is seen as one of the important problems of the country. In addition, developments in tube railway management in recent years have increased the importance of training the workforce to work in these areas. With the Rail Systems Electric and Electronics Program opened within the Vocational School of Transport, it is aimed to train a responsible, high-duty, manpower who will take part in railway transportation. Within the framework of a protocol signed between our university and the General Directorate of TCDD, it is foreseen that the General Directorate of TCDD will support this training in every subject.
