How is the passing system in Vocational School?
In our school, a 4-point system is applied. In order to graduate, our students must have completed 120 credits, have a grade point average of at least 2.00, and no FF or DZ courses.
As of the 2020-2021 Academic Year, Optional Internship is applied in our vocational school.
How long is the absence period?
All our programs have a 70% attendance requirement. If you miss more than 30% of a course during the semester, you fail that course. The student has to retake the course he/she has missed due to absenteeism.
Is the report valid?
The report is not valid during the course period. The report is valid only during exam periods. You must submit your report to student affairs with a make-up exam petition within five working days of the day of your exam.
What does academic advisor mean, how can I find out about my academic advisor?
The purpose of academic counseling; orienting the student on adaptation to university life, professional development, guiding the students through career and similar issues and monitoring them throughout their education; informing the student during the course selection process at the beginning of each semester (including summer school); is to approve the course(s) to be taken by evaluating the academic status of the student together with the student.

When are the course registrations?
You can make your registration renewal and course registration processes between the dates specified in the academic calendar.
What should I do in registration renewal and course registration?
First of all, you should learn the amount you need to pay, if any, via OGRBILSIS and deposit it in the relevant bank. Then you can start the course selection process. You must choose the courses you need to take in line with the explanations in the grade status document you will receive through the system. If necessary, you should do the replacement. You must give "registration confirmation" through ORGBILSIS. Your course selection process is completed when you contact your academic advisor and get the advisor's approval. You must print out the course schedule and have it signed by your advisor.
My classes overlap, can I take both classes?
No. All our programs have a 70% attendance requirement. Therefore, it is not possible to take two courses that overlap. First of all, you need to take the remaining course.
Can I retake the course I passed to raise my grade?
Yes. During the registration renewal week, you can make the course selection process by submitting a Grade Upgrade Petition to your advisor. However, if you lower your grade when you take the course again, your last grade will be valid.
I want to withdraw from my course. What should I do?
You can withdraw by submitting a Withdrawal Petition within three weeks from the start of the classes. You should also get your advisor's approval regarding this.
What does course adjustment mean?
It is the process of matching the courses you have taken with the courses you are responsible for when you request an exemption from the equivalent courses you have studied at other institutions and have been successful in. Do not lose the document given to you for the course adjustment process to be made upon your application and choose the course accordingly in the course registration.
Can I request exemption from courses?
Yes. You can request exemption from the equivalent courses that you have studied at other institutions and have been successful in. For this, you must apply to the Studetn Affairs with a transcript approved (sealed, stamped and signed) by the higher education institution you previously studied, and a petition with your course content.
I couldn't take the exam for the course. Can I take the make-up exam?
In order to take the make-up exam, you must certify that there is one of the justified and valid reasons accepted by the Senate of our University. You must submit your application for the Make-up Exam together with your document to the Directorate of our School within three working days following the end of the exams.
I want to suspend study, what should I do?
You must certify that there is one of the Justified and Valid Reasons accepted by the Senate of our University. You must submit your petition together with your document to the School Directorate.
What are the conditions for obtaining high honor and honor certificate?
The conditions for obtaining high honor and honor certificates are explained in the 21st article of Eskişehir Technical University Associate and Undergraduate. According to this:

How can I apply for summer school?
Summer school is not a separate semester except for the fall and spring semesters, but is a continuation of the spring semester. The GPA of the student who took courses in the summer school is recalculated by taking into account the letter grades formed in the summer school. Summer school student registrations are made within the week before the start of the summer school at the latest.
The student who wants to take courses from the summer school is obliged to pay the summer school tuition fee according to the provisions of the relevant legislation.
Students can enroll in courses with a maximum of 20 ECTS credits from the courses opened in the summer school. Students who are graduating by the end of summer school can enroll in courses with a maximum of 25 ECTS credits in summer school. These credits include the credits of the course(s) taken from other higher education institutions.
In accordance with the “Eskişehir Technical University Summer School Regulations”, students can take courses from the summer schools of other higher education institutions, within the framework of the principles determined by the Senate, with the recommendation of the relevant unit's administrative board and the decision of the University Administrative Board.
I want to take courses from another university in summer school, what should I do?
Students can enroll in courses opened in other higher education institutions and whose equivalence is accepted, provided that they do not exceed the limits of 20 ECTS at most, and 25 ECTS at most if they are graduated. However, a course offered in another higher education institution cannot be taken in place of a course offered at the University in summer school, unless approved by the University Administrative Board.
Students who want to take courses from another university have to apply to the Vocational School Directorate with a Petition to Take Summer School Courses, in order to confirm the equivalence of the course they want to take. In the annexes of the petition, the transcript of the student and the approved course content taken from both UMYO and another university/faculty/department must be attached.

What is the maximum duration?
In Article 44-c of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, the maximum duration is specified as follows:

The maximum duration for associate degree programs is determined as 4 years (8 semesters). In case of not graduating at the end of this period, the student is given the right to take the Additional Exam.
By following the announcements of the School, you must apply to the School with a petition at the end of the maximum period and take the Additional Exam to be opened.
Can I apply for the additional exam, how?
Students who cannot graduate at the end of the maximum period for associate degree programs are given the right to take an additional exam. For this, the student must apply to our School with a petition.;
The condition of taking the additional exam is in the relevant Senate decision; It is defined as "a) to have completed the maximum period; b) to be a senior student".
Students who fail the additional exam cannot benefit from student rights.
"I completed my maximum time, but I didn't get a 2.0 GPA for graduation." What Should I Do?

I failed the Optional Preparatory Training, what should I do?
Students who take Optional Preparatory Education can start their education in their departments even if they fail in preparation at the end of their first year. For this, they must submit a petition to the student affairs of the program they are registered for. Please follow the announcements of our School about when the petition will be given.

Our program with Optional Preparation Training in our college is the Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program.
